Friends
You know how there are some weekends where your social calendar fills up and you wonder how you are going to meet all the people you want to... and others where you stay home either trying to gain that one or two levels in WOW, fight Dread Lords in Galactic civilizations II or, as mum would prefer, clear out the room.
The last long (May/Labour Day) weekend was good socially. It was fairly light week leading up to it work-wise (in part because the office bear was happy touring his adopted motherland Russia. Maybe the elections played a part too. Everyone was too busy. Remember one thing though - you never know which one of your friends are card-carrying party members!).
Anyway, it was a good catching up with old friends and getting to know colleagues better. It helped that I had the car to drive as dad was away on an overseas trip but I think the long weekend helped. People were just more ready to go out and do stuff... be it for long catch-up chats or shop for a new camera, notebook and/or dive equipment. I contributed to the Singapore economy myself this weekend (see blog below).
Its either because I'm going deeper into the 30s or if its how you realise you are no longer young when you joints hurt or if its what happens after you get married and start prepping for the kids to come along... but I'm getting more nostalgic. Anyway, thanks to all those friends and colleagues for being a part of my life. It has been both my honour and pleasure. Life has more colour because of you.
(I didn't get a chance to photograph everyone I met this week. Most of you are in my blog one way or another anyway. You know who you are :) )

Sorry, there's no one I can think off. My last trip to Sarawak was in 2000 and that was for work.
BTW, I hope you'll find that someone. Although his presence in your life was fleeting, he has obviously left a deep impression on you. You need closure. I hope you'll find him. Good luck!
